NOTE If you have already installed a previous version of the JBM (JukeBox Manager) on Windows 2000, you will need to copy the driver "cpqpjb.sys" into your "\WINNT\system32\drivers\" directory, the installer program doesn't recognise that the driver should be reinstalled.Jukebox Manager Installation Instructions For Windows 2000.
For first time installation:
(before installing make a folder on you desktop called pjb then "unzip" the jbm_2000 files
into the folder)
1.load JukeboxManager_2000 from the folder. Do not run the software at the end of installation.
2. Connect the PJB to your PC via the USB. Do not go through a USB hub.
Note: The following steps (3 thru 6) may not be necessary.
3. New hardware found message should appear and Hardware Installation Wizard should start.
4. When asked for "cpqpjb.sys," browse for it in c:\winnt\system32\drivers folder.
5. When the wizard states that it cannot copy "cpqpjb.inf," browse in C:\winnt\inf folder(*).
6. Run the Jukebox Manager software and select the jukebox.
(*) In Step 5, you may not find the "inf" folder under c:\winnt. If not, do the following.
a) Open up "My Computer" and go to your local drive, C.
b) Open windows folder.
c) From the menu bar of the window, click on "Tools."
d) Select and click on "Folder Options."
e) Click on "View" tab.
f) In the "Advanced settings" window, select the "Show hidden files and folders" option.
g) Click on "Apply" and then "OK."
h) Re-browse from step 5 and continue.
If you have already installed the software from the CD:
1. Uninstall the program using the add/remove software option in your control panel.
2. From "My Computer, " go to c:\program files and check for "Personal Jukebox" folder.
3. If you find the folder delete it and it's entire contents.
4. Follow the steps in the above list.

- The software should be uncompressed using a Mac utility such as Stuffit This software is intended for the PJB 100 only and will not function without a PJB 100 connected
Windows XP Instructions
1. Download JBM XP from http://www.pjbox.co.uk/downloads.htm#vW2000
2. Extract the .inf and .sys files from the Zipfile, don't bother with the program itself as it won't work [you still need to use the Win98 version, also available on that page]
3. Plug in your Jukebox, wait for the New Hardware wizard to start up
4. Browse in a specific location
5. Select where you extracted the .inf & .sys files earlier
6. Ignore the fact they've not been digitally signed.
7. It should be okay!
IF you have already tried to connect the PJBox and the New Hardware
Wizard doesn't show up then, with the PJBox connected:
1. Open up My Computer
2. Select 'View System Information' from the left hand pane.
3. Select the Hardware tab
4. Select Device Manager
5. Navigate around till you find the incorrectly installed hardware i.e. the PJBox. It'll have a Yellow question mark on it.
6. Right click on it
7. Select Uninstall
8. Right click again, anything within Device Manager
9. Select Scan for Hardware Changes
10. Back to step 4 of the previous how to!
If you did the second set without the PJBox connected then go to the start of the first set of instructions
